Salary: $37–$43 per hour

What you will do
- Direct daily route assignments, schedule drivers, and assign vehicles to maintain full route coverage and on-time service.
- Communicate driving assignments, provide routing guidance, and support special service assignments.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to prevent service interruptions.
- Respond to emergencies, accidents, breakdowns, traffic issues, and route disruptions while coordinating the appropriate response.
- Keep drivers, school districts, families, and internal stakeholders informed about operational changes and customer concerns.
- Maintain dispatch records, incident documentation, route information, vehicle assignments, and driver details in partnership with operations and safety managers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft or G Suite applications, including Sheets, Docs, and Slides.
- Experience in high-pressure, time-sensitive operations such as transportation, logistics, field services, customer service, or hospitality.
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate schedules and assignments, maintain accurate records, and track assets and inventory.
- Knowledge of local Seattle-area traffic patterns, road restrictions, neighborhoods, and school district geography is highly desirable.
Nice to have
- Leadership, supervisory, or management experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
- School busing or transportation experience as a driver or dispatcher.
- Knowledge of state DOT/DMV safety rules and company compliance requirements.
- Experience working in a union environment.
