Focus on translating early-stage concepts into tangible designs, building prototypes, collaborating with research and engineering teams, and communicating design intent across the product organization.
Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; on-site at Brooks Seattle HQ

What you will do
- Create performance footwear designs, including upper, midsole, outsole, and tooling concepts.
- Translate early-stage innovation concepts into tangible footwear designs from concept through go-to-market where applicable.
- Develop and present design briefs, storytelling, color, material, finish, and aesthetic direction.
- Partner with 3D and computational designers to improve the clarity and fidelity of concepts.
- Collaborate with research, engineering, development, product line management, operations, and advanced design teams.
- Support prototyping, workshops, prototype reviews, factory and supplier visits, and travel to external events as needed.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in industrial, graphic, apparel, or footwear design, or equivalent education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience producing color, material, and textile programs and future vision in a retail or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of art and design, conceptual thinking, design execution, and visual communication.
- Mastery of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Competence with Apple Mac OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage timelines, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, develop prototypes, and travel approximately 10% domestically and internationally.
