Sr Specialist, Product Analyst (SATCOM)

Location: Rochester, New York, United States; based at the Rochester facility. Travel of up to 50% or more, including international travel, may be required.

Salary: $76,500–$141,500 per year.

What you will do

• Support SATCOM product lines, including VSAT, flat-panel technologies, and future product developments.
• Investigate, capture, and communicate customer requirements for tactical SATCOM applications.
• Research accessories and external applications for product compatibility and applicability.
• Prepare product specifications and responses for RFIs and RFPs with offering managers.
• Maintain product documentation, including specifications, data sheets, brochures, application notes, and product bulletins.
• Support product and system integration, field troubleshooting, product service returns, demonstrations, field trials, and product-line reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with at least 4 years of related experience; 10 years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience using and applying tactical SATCOM equipment in customer-relevant environments.
• Knowledge of tactical SATCOM product lines, networks, constellations, waveforms, applications, IP network management, and routing.
• Practical project management experience and the ability to manage projects or processes with general supervision.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills for explaining product information and producing technical publications.
• The position may require eligibility for a security clearance, which may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting product life-cycle processes and improving products, systems, and processes.
• Experience in sales and front-end business operations with direct customer interaction.
• Military service or background.
