Pharmacist II

Location: Poplar, Montana, at the Fort Peck Service Unit. Full-time schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Screen patient charts, medication orders, laboratory results, vital signs, allergies, and clinical notes for medication safety.
• Process, fill, verify, and enter prescriptions, including refill requests and outside prescriptions.
• Educate patients about medication therapy and provide clinical guidance.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, providers, and the pharmacy team to resolve drug therapy questions and ensure accurate dispensing.
• Recognize emergencies and adverse medication reactions, initiate appropriate interventions, and support resuscitation procedures.
• Perform controlled-substance audits, IV admixtures, inpatient drug distribution, immunizations, chart documentation, and required compliance activities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of clinical pharmacy experience in ambulatory or inpatient care.
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited pharmacy program, or a grandfathered bachelor's degree.
• Current BLS certification.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license without disciplinary action in a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
• Certification in immunization delivery or another clinical pharmacy service.

Nice to have

• Completion of a PGY-1 residency or equivalent clinical experience.
