iHRIS Specialist

Location: Kampala, Uganda, with national and regional travel as required. Current work authorization in Uganda is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Assess iHRIS governance, architecture, workflows, support arrangements, data quality, security, documentation, and handover readiness.
• Strengthen product ownership, user representation, backlog management, release planning, and user feedback mechanisms.
• Prioritize usability, adoption, reporting, interoperability, and performance improvements using support tickets, user feedback, and system telemetry.
• Support data exchange between iHRIS, DHIS2/NDWH, payroll, and approved government systems.
• Develop system documentation, administrative procedures, security guidance, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Mentor and train MOH and subnational administrators and support milestone and performance verification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, human resources information systems, computer science, public health, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting iHRIS, HRIS, digital health systems, or government workforce information systems.
• Practical experience with system configuration, user support, data quality, reporting, user training, and system administration.
• Experience with Ministry of Health HRH departments, district health offices, or public-sector workforce systems is strongly preferred.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, documentation, and English communication skills.
• Current work authorization in Uganda is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with DHIS2, APIs, FHIR, data protection, and interoperability.
