What you will do

• Plan, organize, and deliver General Biology and Anatomy and Physiology instruction in classroom, didactic, and laboratory settings.
• Assess student performance regularly, provide timely feedback, and document attendance, grades, progress, and learning outcomes.
• Prepare and proctor examinations, maintain office hours, and participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and orientations.
• Fulfill assessment requirements aligned with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accreditation standards.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community while providing accessible and courteous engagement.

Requirements

• Doctorate such as a PhD, PharmD, MD, OD, or DVM in a relevant area of Biology.
• At least one year of undergraduate college-level biology teaching experience.
• At least one year of experience preparing and implementing teaching laboratories.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Employment may be affected for candidates who require new H-1B sponsorship; the institution will not pay the applicable $100,000 H-1B fee.

Nice to have

• Three years of undergraduate biology teaching experience.
• Three years of experience preparing and implementing teaching laboratories.
• Experience with instructional technology, course learning management systems such as Canvas, and assessment of student learning outcomes.
