Business Continuity Spec

What you will do

• Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify threats and their effects on operations.
• Develop, maintain, enhance, and quality-review business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Oversee continuity testing, emergency response, recovery activities, and operating strategies aligned with recovery time objectives.
• Monitor and report on compliance, readiness, exercises, and disruption events.
• Capture lessons learned from exercises and live disruptions and incorporate improvements into future planning.
• Support continuity training and collaborate with business leaders, technology partners, auditors, regulators, and risk stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in continuity planning or 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in risk management, emergency management, crisis management, or related fields.
• Knowledge of business resiliency regulations, industry standards, and leading practices.
• Proficiency with business continuity software and related tools.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management, information technology, or a related field; comparable certification and experience may be considered.

Nice to have

• CBCP or ABCP certification.
• Experience with auditing operations, IT continuity, process design, regulatory compliance, or resilience planning.
