What you will do
- Build and maintain real-time robotics software for high-throughput, multi-modal sensor data from lidar, cameras, IMUs, GPS, and other sensors.
- Implement, test, and validate sensor-fusion systems across simulation and real-world deployments.
- Develop geometry-based computer vision and robotics algorithms for multi-view geometry, filtering, tracking, and state estimation.
- Perform intrinsic, extrinsic, and temporal sensor calibration using linear algebra, 3D geometry, Kalman or particle filters, and nonlinear optimization.
- Evaluate sensor selection and system-level tradeoffs, define validation plans, and improve reliability for continuous production operation.
- Integrate perception algorithms and sensor pipelines with ML, firmware, embedded platform, and systems engineering teams, including contributions to ruggedized sensor hardware.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience is considered.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying robotics or perception software in real-world systems.
- Strong experience with geometry-based computer vision and robotics algorithms, including multi-view geometry, filtering, and optimization.
- Proficiency in Rust and C/C++.
- Experience with real-time systems processing and fusing high-throughput sensor data from lidar, cameras, IMUs, and GPS.
Nice to have
- Experience with localization, SLAM, online calibration, ROS2 or similar robotics middleware, and GStreamer.
- Experience with autonomous vehicles, field robotics, safety-critical systems, or ruggedized robotic hardware.
- Experience defining validation methodologies and system-level test plans.
- Publications in robotics conferences or related journals.
