Graduate Test Engineer (Heavy Machinery): Conducting system, component, API, automated, and manual testing for heavy machinery software, hardware, and machine control products with an accent on GNSS, IMU, automated guidance systems, and field validation. Focus on reproducing complex technical issues, maintaining test environments, and translating earthmoving requirements into user-centric test specifications.
Location: Christchurch, New Zealand; on-site and field testing. Travel requirement: 10%.

What you will do
- Conduct hands-on system, component, and API testing of heavy machinery software and hardware.
- Translate real-world earthmoving requirements into user-centric testing specifications.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and manual test plans.
- Troubleshoot, reproduce, and diagnose field-escalated technical issues with software and systems engineering teams.
- Maintain software, firmware, and specialized hardware testing setups for civil construction technology.
Requirements
- Qualification or background in mechatronics engineering, software testing, or a related technical discipline.
- 0–3 years of professional experience, ideally in software testing, robotics, positioning systems, or navigation sensors.
- Practical understanding of software development lifecycle processes and strong problem-solving skills.
- Proactive communication skills for articulating technical issues and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
- Physical capability to operate survey equipment and test instruments around active heavy construction equipment.
