What you will do

  • Develop, evaluate, and maintain quality assurance program processes, instructions, procedures, and guidance documents.
  • Review Level 2 and higher procedures for compliance with the QAPD, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQAM, ASME Section III, and international standards.
  • Support and, after certification, lead supplier qualification audits, surveillances, internal audits, assessments, and causal analyses.
  • Support ASME Section III activities, including Code change reviews, supplier QA document evaluations, and procurement document reviews.
  • Serve as the primary project quality representative for 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME Section III projects.
  • Provide quality assurance training, mentoring, technical guidance, and education to staff and personnel performing quality-affecting activities.

Requirements

  • Recent nuclear QA project management experience and ASME Section III expertise are required.
  • B.S. or B.A. degree required; a technical degree is preferred. Up to 18 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
  • At least 10 years of experience developing or implementing nuclear quality assurance programs, including at least 5 years implementing an ASME BPVC Section III program.
  • Experience with data report certification and interaction with Authorized Nuclear Inspectors.
  • Understanding and implementation of ASME BPVC Section III, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, NQA-1, and related international standards.
  • Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Nice to have

  • Current or previous Lead Auditor certification in an NQA-1 or 10 CFR 50 Appendix B program.
  • Experience applying ISO 9001 quality requirements alongside NQA-1 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B.
  • International quality assurance experience.
