What you will do

• Perform theater and stadium opening, closing, and daily systems inspections.
• Set up and operate performances and special events across staging, spotlight, lighting, audio, and camera/video systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair theatrical equipment.
• Assist the Production team with new show and event installations.
• Keep assigned show areas show-ready, safe, and clean while completing tasks with the Stage Manager.
• Develop technical skills through training, project assistance, and independent study.

Requirements

• Valid state driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, and age 18 or older.
• At least one year of experience in a theme park or theatrical environment, with training in lighting, staging, video, audio, or equipment repair.
• Ability to operate computers and computerized theatrical control systems and communicate professionally by headset.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights between 6 and 65 feet, stand for long periods, and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work safely in theater and outdoor environments, including nighttime conditions, water, changing weather, noise, vibrations, fumes, dust, and odors, and around animals.
• Availability for varying shifts, including opening, closing, and event rehearsal shifts.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial vehicles or watercraft such as high-reach equipment, forklifts, scissor lifts, barges, or boats.
• Basic electrical theory, carpentry, and pyrotechnic materials handling.
• Ability to read lighting plots, schematics, and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
