TL;DR
Supplier Quality Engineer (Automotive) (IATF 16949/PPAP): Maintaining supplier quality documentation and supporting automotive production compliance with an accent on PPAP validation, control plans, PFMEA, and statistical process control. Focus on coordinating supplier changes, containing defects, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring safe, specification-compliant product delivery.
Location: Northwood, OH, United States; onsite at the Northwood Facility

operates the Northwood Facility, where this role supports supplier and production quality for automotive manufacturing.
What you will do
- Maintain engineering records and quality documentation supporting IATF 16949 compliance, including SMRR, RMA, PPM, SCB, control plans, and PFMEAs.
- Validate supplier PPAP submissions and coordinate with vendors, Materials, and Production on engineering changes.
- Monitor supplier deliverables, production reports, assembly operations, and statistical process control requirements.
- Coordinate defect containment, quality alerts, engineering builds, and responses to supplier and customer concerns.
- Provide leadership in troubleshooting material and internal production problems, including authority to stop production for quality or safety issues.
- Support quality technician training and communicate safety alerts and HSE&E conditions.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent quality-related education, experience, or training.
- Three to five years of Quality Assurance experience, with emphasis on supplying the automotive industry.
- Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and BOS Standards.
- Ability to use measurement tools and read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of statistical quality control.
- Ability to work onsite at the Northwood Facility and comply with production-area safety procedures.
Nice to have
- ASQ CQM, CQE, or CQT certification.
