TL;DR
Technical Product Manager (Senior - Staff), Software (Space and Defense): Defining and delivering mission software capabilities for US Space Force and other US Government customers with an accent on technical product requirements, data flows, user workflows, and scalable cloud-deployed systems. Focus on prioritizing scope, translating customer needs into engineering specifications, and building software products for space-related defense programs.
Location: Onsite at the Centennial, Colorado or Long Beach, California locations, with travel to other sites as needed.
Base salary: $135,000–$235,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do
- Partner with customers, business development, and engineering to define functionality, shape scope, and prioritize features.
- Engage with the US Government to align expectations, gather feedback, and guide the product roadmap.
- Own product-versus-delivery trade-offs and make prioritization decisions.
- Create product requirements, epics, technical documentation, PRDs, and system specifications.
- Map user workflows, data flows, and system dependencies while defining and tracking success metrics.
- Align the backlog with engineering and technical program management priorities and provide clear updates to executives and partners.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product management or technical product ownership experience.
- Experience working directly with external customers and delivering against competitive, milestone- or demonstration-based government contracts.
- Experience with cloud-deployed architectures, containerized software, web applications, developer tools, and data products.
- Technical background through a degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant work experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and work onsite at the Centennial, Colorado or Long Beach, California location.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of US Space Force Battle Management, associated doctrines, the ATO process, or the NIST Risk Management Framework.
- Hands-on experience with cloud deployments, containerized software, web applications, or related infrastructure.
- Background in systems engineering, technical program management, or space-related programs.
- Active or eligible DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
