Director of Procurement & Contract Services (Jaggaer)

Location: hirify.global, Montana, USA; onsite university procurement leadership role.

What you will do

• Lead and integrate procurement, contracting, and accounts payable coordination across the procure-to-pay lifecycle.
• Maintain compliance with Title 18 of the Montana Code Annotated, Board of Regents policy, and university procurement procedures.
• Oversee contracts for goods and services, including terms and conditions in coordination with Legal Counsel.
• Govern the Jaggaer/SmartBuyMSU procure-to-pay system, including enhancements, upgrades, and long-term strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement, reduce administrative burden, improve cycle times, and enhance the campus user experience.
• Identify institutional risk and strategic sourcing opportunities while maintaining communication with university stakeholders, regulators, vendors, and affiliated campuses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, public administration, law, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of progressive leadership experience in procurement.
• Experience with public procurement, including preparing and analyzing RFPs and IFBs.
• Demonstrated management and leadership experience, including leading through managers.
• Ability to solve complex problems and operate effectively in a highly regulated environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or professional certification such as MBA, J.D., CPPO, or CPSM.
• Experience in higher education environments with R1 research status.
• Experience negotiating contract terms and conditions.
• Experience with Jaggaer or a similar procure-to-pay system.
