Psychologist Entry to Senior Level - Telehealth Substance Use

What you will do

• Provide evidence-based telebehavioral health counseling, crisis intervention, psychological assessments, referrals, and psychoeducational presentations.
• Deliver individual, couples, and group counseling, including services tailored to correctional facilities and incarcerated populations.
• Coordinate mental health programs and collaborate with schools, healthcare settings, and internal and external partners to improve behavioral health access.
• Provide supervision and training for doctoral interns, practicum students, counseling and clinical psychology students, and staff.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation, consult on complex cases, and comply with Texas licensure requirements and ethical standards.
• Participate in applied research, evaluation, professional presentations, continuing education, and program development.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or another degree accepted by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
• One year of full-time supervised internship in a college or university counseling center or another relevant setting.
• Eligible for licensure as a psychologist in Texas and able to obtain Texas psychologist licensure within one year of employment.
• Knowledge of clinical supervision, multicultural counseling, ethical standards, and applicable Texas laws.
• Ability to learn new technology and electronic medical record environments, deliver telehealth services, multitask, and collaborate with others.

Nice to have

• One year of postdoctoral clinical experience in a multidisciplinary or university counseling setting.
• Experience delivering therapeutic telehealth counseling and individual or group counseling to incarcerated individuals.
• Expertise in anger management, mindfulness, substance use, and trauma-related conditions.
• Experience providing mental health care to adolescents, adults, or couples.
