Production Maintenance Technician (f/m/d) (Injection Molding and Automation)

What you will do

• Complete work orders for machine repairs and perform routine and preventive maintenance.
• Identify potential system failures and maintain critical spare components to reduce machine downtime.
• Conduct system testing and calibration, and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Change over equipment for different products.
• Maintain injection molding machines, PET fiber extrusion lines, and assembly lines when assigned to injection molding.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair robotics, PLC systems, conveyors, vision systems, electrical systems, and other manufacturing automation equipment when assigned to automation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree is preferred.
• Experience in medium- to large-sized production facilities involving plastic injection molding, assembly, and/or automation repair.
• Automation candidates need expertise in electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, mechatronics, automation systems, and PLC troubleshooting and repair.
• Injection molding candidates need knowledge of hydraulics, mold temperature controllers, hot runner controllers, sprue pickers, robots, and mold setup.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and independent working skills, plus experience with preventive maintenance programs and diagnostic tools.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required. Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights is also required.
