Phlebotomist Test Coordinator - Dorchester, MA (Oncology)

Location: On-site clinic-based position in Dorchester, Massachusetts, United States

What you will do

• Perform venipunctures and collect blood specimens using aseptic techniques and safe clinical practices.
• Verify patient identities, test requisitions, and EMR records, resolving discrepancies when needed.
• Coordinate appointments, blood draw times, patient care services, and timely reporting of test results.
• Document specimen collection details, maintain logs, and monitor sample integrity and turnaround times.
• Collaborate with patients, Field Sales, account representatives, and internal operations teams to resolve missing information, delays, cancellations, and redraws.
• Investigate escalated issues, explain root causes and resolutions, and identify process improvements.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Oncology experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; BS/BA degree preferred.
• Phlebotomy certificate required where mandated by state regulations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and independent-work skills.
• Successful completion of clinic-specific pre-employment, clinical, safety, licensing, immunization, screening, and onboarding requirements is required.
