What you will do
- Interview patients and measure pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
- Maintain accurate and current patient health records.
- Prepare treatment rooms and clean and sterilize instruments.
- Administer medications and injections, perform laboratory tests, and operate EKG and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
- Support front-desk operations by scheduling appointments, making follow-up calls, and ordering medical supplies.
Requirements
- National Medical Assisting certification from an approved organization, or a certificate/diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a completed and passed hands-on externship.
- Online-only courses are not accepted.
- Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider.
- Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
