Staff Civil/Environmental Engineer (AutoCAD Civil 3D)

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, United States; local travel required 30%–50%.

Annual salary: $55,000–$95,000, plus an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Support multiple permitting, construction, survey, mapping, remediation, and civil infrastructure projects.
• Prepare plan, profile, cross-section, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare permit documents, construction plans, and specifications for landfills, recycling facilities, transfer stations, convenience centers, and industrial facilities.
• Develop Part B permit applications, SWPPPs, SPCC Plans, ARAP Applications, construction cost estimates, and financial assurance estimates.
• Conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments and prepare documentation for voluntary, RCRA, and CERCLA remediation actions.
• Communicate project risks, follow safety requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement and team delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience preferred, including experience with civil infrastructure.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and the ability to complete design drafting with minimal supervision.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to complete and maintain 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and the annual 8-hour refresher course.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• EIT license.
• Experience with GIS.
