What you will do
- Prepare monthly reporting packages for financial review discussions and regulatory filings.
- Prepare annual financial statements, including notes, supplementary lead schedules, and accounting policy documentation.
- Develop financial analyses, result dashboards, data-driven financial overviews, and industry reports for management.
- Support planning and forecasting activities across Canadian operations.
- Research and monitor regulatory, accounting, and tax standards and ensure compliance with applicable requirements and internal policies.
- Facilitate external audits and contribute to finance projects and ad hoc initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree and a recognized Canadian professional accounting designation (CPA).
- At least 3 years of progressive experience, including an audit background.
- Ability to analyze and interpret statistical and financial information.
- Proficiency in report writing and presenting findings, including PowerPoint presentations.
- Experience in the financial services industry; insurance experience is preferred.
