Accounting/Finance Intern

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States

Salary: $21.50–$24.25 per hour

Employee-owned company with a corporate headquarters in Eastern Washington and an Accounting and Finance department supporting multiple business functions.

What you will do

• Rotate across accounting and finance groups, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost accounting, tax, internal audit, consolidation accounting, business unit finance, and project accounting.
• Prepare journal entries, account analyses, reconciliations, and accounting process documentation.
• Assist with month-end close and tax preparation activities.
• Prepare financial analyses, budgets, projections, product cost analyses, and other financial evaluations.
• Research and support planning related to generally accepted accounting principles and current tax laws.
• Contribute to special projects within the Accounting and Finance department.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance at an accredited institution.
• Commitment to a minimum one-year internship, including the summer term.
• Strong communication, writing, and documentation skills.
• Ability to learn new skills, take on new responsibilities, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Successful completion of a background check and required drug testing.
