Information Technology User Services IT Asset & Hardware Logistics Specialist

Location: On-site at hirify.global, Montana; requires regular movement and delivery of IT equipment across campus.

Salary: $20.50 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Receive, inspect, verify, tag, and record incoming IT hardware.
• Coordinate secure storage, staging, transfers, and delivery of equipment across campus departments.
• Track technology orders, coordinate with vendors, and resolve purchasing, invoicing, shipment, and delivery discrepancies.
• Support users with hardware purchasing requests, standard equipment options, and procurement processes.
• Use ticketing and enterprise tools to prioritize work, communicate updates, monitor service performance, and recommend improvements.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge-base resources while following information security, asset-tracking, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Experience procuring IT hardware or services, including quotes, purchase orders, order tracking, and issue resolution.
• Experience receiving, tracking, distributing, and reconciling IT hardware and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Strong organization and communication skills, with the ability to support users with different technical backgrounds.
• Ability to safely move and transport equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and compliance with State of Montana requirements for operating university vehicles.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with IT asset management or inventory systems such as AssetWorks.
• Experience with e-procurement systems such as Jaggaer.
• Experience in higher education, public-sector procurement, or a related operational environment.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
