Translation & Communication Specialist (Gaming)

What you will do

• Provide Japanese-English interpretation and translation for internal and external meetings, emails, and business documents.
• Develop third-party translation resources, tooling plans, and standards for dedicated, centralized, machine, and AI-assisted translation.
• Create cultural communication training covering cultural context, conversation patterns, and communication styles.
• Work with the Senior Specialist to build efficient language-resource structures and operational processes for the Global Account Management team.
• Potentially support Chinese and Korean language operations, including vendor coordination, lexicon management, tooling, and training processes.

Requirements

• Native-level bilingual English and Japanese communication skills.
• At least 3 years of translation or interpretation experience, or at least 4 years working in an English-first environment.
• Business-to-business work experience.
• Knowledge of or interest in the gaming market and industry, plus general knowledge of video games.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate, careful work.
• Ability to organize multiple projects, prioritize work, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of video games and the gaming industry.
• At least 4 years of experience working or living in a multicultural environment.
• Experience creating business-level documentation.
