What you will do
- Operate studio cameras, audio equipment, character generators, prompters, and switchers during live newscasts and Studio 701 productions.
- Edit Studio 701 episodes and news packages for broadcast and streaming, including pacing, audio, and graphics.
- Create news graphics, lower thirds, and story elements using Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
- Shoot field content such as interviews, b-roll, and natural sound for daily stories and long-form projects.
- Monitor incoming feeds, live shots, and recorded content, correcting audio and video issues before broadcast.
- Support engineering operations through signal monitoring, equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, studio setup, and transmission of content to network and sister stations.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in broadcast production, studio operations, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of studio production equipment, including switchers, audio boards, cameras, and CG systems.
- Experience with non-linear editing and a basic understanding of broadcast engineering and signal flow.
- Strong visual judgment for graphics, framing, and storytelling.
- Ability to lift and move production equipment and perform occasional manual labor.
- Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, breaking news, and severe weather coverage.
Nice to have
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere.
- ENPS experience.
