What you will do
- Serve as the technical authority for Finite Element Analysis activities, focusing on ANSYS simulations compliant with ASME Section VIII and/or Section III.
- Lead new product development from conceptual design and feasibility studies through detailed analysis, testing requirements, final release, and product support.
- Collaborate with customers to solve complex engineering challenges and deliver tailored technical solutions.
- Contribute to innovative product and process development, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Provide accurate technical support aligned with internal specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.
- Work with engineering, manufacturing, and business development teams across Freudenberg Flow Technologies locations.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of relevant engineering experience, including mechanical or structural design.
- At least 4 years of hands-on FEA experience in product development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Valid P.Eng designation in a Canadian province required.
- Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API, NORSOK, and DNV standards.
- Proficiency in ANSYS and SolidWorks, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Nice to have
- Experience with Caesar II.
- Experience designing nuclear equipment.
