FSC Mexican Taxes & GL Accountant (SAP FI/Mexican Tax Compliance): Managing Mexican tax compliance, general ledger accounting, statutory filings, and financial close activities with an accent on tax provisions, reconciliations, electronic accounting, and regulatory reporting. Focus on preparing accurate tax returns, maintaining SAP records, coordinating audits and government inquiries, and supporting SOX controls and process automation.
Location: Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico; office-based

What you will do
- Prepare and file monthly Mexican tax returns, including VAT, income tax, withholding taxes, payroll taxes, and other statutory obligations.
- Prepare DIOT, electronic accounting, payment complements, CFDI-related documentation, and other tax compliance submissions.
- Prepare tax provisions, forecasts, corporate tax reporting packages, reconciliations, workpapers, and tax-related journal entries in SAP.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, statutory reporting, audits, tax refunds, and government inquiries.
- Coordinate with Finance, Corporate Tax, external advisors, auditors, customs brokers, and government authorities.
- Maintain internal controls and SOX compliance while documenting processes and supporting system implementations and automation initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Mexican tax regulations, including ISR, VAT, and withholding taxes, and accounting principles.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is preferred.
- 4–5 years of experience in Mexican tax compliance, tax reporting, and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with SAP FI, tax provisions, electronic accounting, DIOT, CFDI, payment complements, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- English at an intermediate to advanced level, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
