What you will do
- Lead the development and enhancement of tools tracking fuel supply status, capability, and restrictions affecting PJM generation resources.
- Provide leadership, training, and continuous development for the Gas Electric Coordination Team, including daily winter pipeline analysis and reporting.
- Develop seasonal fuel supply assessments and communicate real-time, day-ahead, and seasonal impacts on generators, operations, and prices.
- Coordinate fuel supply, transmission, and generation outages and support PJM Dispatch during pre-emergency and emergency conditions.
- Manage operational relationships with interstate pipelines, local distribution companies, LNG entities, ISO peers, and industry groups.
- Represent PJM in regulatory and industry forums, lead gas/electric tabletop exercises, and recommend improvements to processes, tools, and business rules.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 8 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in the natural gas industry involving sourcing, transportation, marketing, or delivery.
- Thorough knowledge of natural gas supply, transportation, marketing, pipeline and LDC operations, scheduling timelines, tariffs, and contracts.
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis and the ability to produce detailed, high-quality work products.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Nice to have
- MBA or additional education in Business Administration.
- Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions.
- Knowledge of coal, oil, nuclear, hydro, and renewable fuel supply industries.
