Athletic Trainer/DME Field Service Rep (Medical Technology)

Location: St. Petersburg, Florida, United States; travel within the designated territory may comprise 10–90% of the role, without overnight travel.

What you will do

• Manage accounts and day-to-day service operations for durable medical equipment programs.
• Provide instruction on the appropriate use and application of orthopedic products, including soft goods and functional bracing.
• Verify patient benefits, support pre-authorization, and collect patient responsibility when required.
• Evaluate clinic needs, manage inventory levels, track orders, and investigate service or supply issues.
• Coordinate between customers, hirify.global, and Sales and Field Service Teams to improve program performance.
• Follow HIPAA, OIG, government healthcare regulations, and clinic compliance policies.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of direct patient care experience, preferably in orthopedics, physical therapy, athletic training, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and demonstrated patient care experience.
• Experience working with multiple physicians in a high-volume clinic.
• Experience with inventory management programs and/or electronic medical records.
• Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and the ability to meet hospital credentialing and screening requirements.
• Current full-time work authorization in the United States without requiring employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of insurance reimbursement and durable medical equipment billing requirements.
• Active professional credentials such as Athletic Training licensure, BOC, ABC Certified Fitter-orthotics, PTA certification, or a related credential.
