Location: The position includes occasional evening or weekend work and periodic in-state and out-of-state travel to support events, workshops, and field research.
Salary: $25.04 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.

What you will do
- Provide administrative and operational support, including calendar management, correspondence, and reception.
- Coordinate budgets, procurement, financial reconciliation, travel, and reimbursement processes.
- Organize programs, hosted events, workshops, and field research logistics.
- Arrange travel, lodging, and honoraria for speakers and Indigenous knowledge keepers.
- Maintain web and social media platforms and support grant reporting and program assessment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Progressively responsible administrative experience in customer service, office operations, or program coordination.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including preparation and formatting of professional documents, reports, and communications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain organizational systems, collaborate effectively, and work independently.
- Cultural responsiveness, strong communication skills, attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism with sensitive information.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience working with Tribal Nations, Indigenous communities, or Indigenous knowledge keepers.
- Experience with university or grant-funded fiscal systems, procurement, travel reimbursement, and budget reconciliation.
- Experience coordinating events, meetings, or field logistics.
- Experience supporting grant administration, reporting, or program assessment.
- Familiarity with website and social media platform management.
