Event Center Conversion Technician

Location: Stephenville, Texas, United States; on-campus event work with evening, night, weekend, and holiday availability required.

Salary: $20.00 per hour, negotiable based on funding availability and experience.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, move, and break down sound, video, lighting, staging, rigging, seating, signage, barriers, and related event equipment.
• Support campus event conversions, special events, and production requirements.
• Follow safety procedures while working with ladders, catwalks, beams, and heavy equipment.
• Provide customer service and collaborate on event staffing and shift coverage.
• Complete documentation, reports, records, and updates to support future event planning.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• At least four years of related experience.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds and work at heights up to 50 feet, on ladders, catwalks, and beams.
• Ability to work variable schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Employment is subject to a criminal history investigation and credential verification.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of event-related equipment and applications.
• Experience with multi-channel audio, lighting, video equipment, and up-and-down rigging.
• Ability to read event layouts and drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet university driving requirements.
• Experience scheduling, coordinating, or supervising event staff.
