Head of Global Inventory Control & Strategy (Supply Chain)

Location: United States, Remote

Salary: $170,000–$220,000 USD base salary per year. Bonus and equity may be available for eligible roles.

What you will do

• Build and own global inventory control standards, governance, and operating playbooks across the fulfillment network.
• Set book-to-physical accuracy targets and develop shrink-control frameworks across the supply chain.
• Define cycle-count cadence, audit protocols, and inventory adjustment governance for facilities and 3PL partners.
• Lead root-cause analysis of systemic inventory variances and reduce unresolved adjustments against measurable targets.
• Maintain SOX-compliant controls, including approval thresholds, audit trails, and segregation of duties.
• Improve WMS data integrity by partnering with technology and operations teams on latency, system, and process issues.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in inventory control, fulfillment operations, or supply chain within a high-volume retailer, e-commerce operator, or logistics company.
• Experience maintaining SOX compliance for inventory processes and coordinating with internal and external auditors.
• Deep WMS expertise, including configuration, auditing, and troubleshooting of inventory records.
• Experience creating global or multi-site SOPs from scratch and driving adoption across distributed teams.
• Ability to write SQL, build spreadsheet-based reconciliation models, and analyze inventory data independently.
• Experience managing 3PL relationships and holding external partners accountable.

Nice to have

• Experience with international fulfillment nodes across APAC, EMEA, or global 3PL networks.
• Familiarity with multiple WMS platforms.
• Background in audit, finance-adjacent inventory controls, or shrink investigation.
