TDMK-Manager, Transportation Procurement (Logistics)

Location: On-site in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, United States. Minimal travel may be required for trade shows, customer visits, or carrier visits.

Salary: $87,230–$127,897 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for truckload and less-than-truckload transportation services.
• Build and optimize a scalable carrier network, including sourcing strategies, carrier segmentation, and preferred carrier programs.
• Define and improve procurement, service, productivity, and financial performance metrics through KPIs, scorecards, and reporting.
• Lead carrier qualification, onboarding, compliance monitoring, claims oversight, and risk mitigation programs.
• Partner with Sales, Pricing, Operations, Legal, and Risk Management to improve service reliability, margins, customer experience, and compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop Carrier Sales, Procurement, and Compliance teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.
• 4+ years of transportation brokerage, carrier procurement, or related logistics experience.
• 1+ years of leadership experience managing carrier procurement, carrier sales, compliance, or transportation operations teams.
• Expertise in truckload procurement, carrier network development, transportation operations, and carrier negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, carrier safety programs, transportation claims, fraud prevention, brokerage compliance, and transportation risk management.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, relationship management, communication, presentation, and team leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with multimodal transportation procurement, including truckload and less-than-truckload services.
• Experience building procurement organizations in a high-growth brokerage environment.
