Sr. Hardware Validation Engineer

Location: Wyoming, Minnesota, USA; onsite attendance required at least 3 days per week

Salary: $104,000–$128,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute hardware validation plans for electrical controllers used in hirify.global vehicles.
• Analyze requirements and create detailed test cases covering system functionality and performance.
• Design and oversee test setups, including initial checkout and validation readiness.
• Coordinate testing with program managers, system leads, suppliers, and internal and external laboratories.
• Support radio, environmental, and other regulatory certification testing.
• Compile validation data for production sign-off, participate in design reviews, and resolve validation issues with cross-functional engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related engineering field.
• At least 5 years of experience in hardware validation, verification, or electronics development.
• Experience validating vehicle electronics such as controllers, displays, or communication systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical environmental testing.
• Experience with CAN, Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, VHF, cellular, or A2B communications technologies.
• Familiarity with DOORS, Codebeamer, Jama, Vector tools, DFMEA, and functional safety concepts.
