Process Engineer (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Provide process engineering expertise to Manufacturing, Engineering, and capital projects, with a focus on drug substance projects.
• Develop equipment concepts and scopes, specify and design process equipment, and manage equipment vendors.
• Prepare and execute commissioning and qualification documentation, equipment start-ups, and optimization activities.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams throughout design and project delivery.
• Diagnose complex equipment and system issues, minimize downtime, and implement process improvements for efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Transfer equipment knowledge to site teams and provide input on deviations, CAPA, change control, lifecycle changes, budgets, and timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering; Chemical Engineering is preferred.
• At least 4 years of relevant process engineering experience in life sciences or vaccine manufacturing.
• Technical knowledge of drug substance processes, process equipment, automated mechanical systems, and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical processes, GMP requirements, and commissioning and qualification activities.
• Strong analytical, hands-on troubleshooting, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; applicants must be eligible for the U.S. applicant scope stated in the posting.

Nice to have

• Experience leading small projects, acting as an equipment system lead, or managing cost, schedule, and scope.
• Understanding of utilities' impact on equipment design and operation.
• Knowledge of automation design and testing, plus equipment FAT, SAT, and start-up experience.
