Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS) Finance & Operations, Assistant Vice President (Real Estate Finance)

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $135,000–$200,000 annual base salary, plus discretionary bonuses and potential equity or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Manage finance and operations for BREDS assets and related transactions across BXMT, private funds, managed accounts, and insurance vehicles.
• Serve as the primary finance and operations contact for BXMT and selected private funds, coordinating with investment, asset management, portfolio management, legal, and finance teams.
• Coordinate investment funding, treasury activities, debt financing, and foreign currency considerations.
• Manage credit facility operations, including funding advances, repayments, compliance reporting, covenant monitoring, and fee calculations.
• Support loan lifecycle events such as modifications, extensions, workouts, and repayments.
• Review portfolio analytics, prepare senior management reporting, and improve finance infrastructure and operational processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in transaction services, private equity funds, consulting, public accounting, or real estate debt.
• Experience executing transactions and cross-functional strategic initiatives in a dynamic, growing business.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong technology skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to supervise operations teams and train junior colleagues.

Nice to have

• CFA or CPA designation.
• Securities licenses may be required depending on client-facing or fund-related responsibilities.
