What you will do

  • Define and architect the Energy OBDII strategy for a gasoline range-extended electric vehicle, with a strong focus on thermal and climate systems.
  • Translate OBD regulations, including J1968 and J1979, into hardware and software requirements.
  • Establish the Energy Systems OBD roadmap for customer service and compliance across Traveler and Terra products.
  • Coordinate OBD execution with system engineers and integrate requirements with hardware and software engineering teams.
  • Maintain OBD requirements and guide the development of related processes and tools.
  • Develop and manage Energy Systems OBD design validation plans and participate in calibration development trips as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is also specified.
  • 3–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of thermal and climate control, energy management, and charging.
  • Experience collaborating with power electronics, battery systems, control systems, and manufacturing engineers.
  • English proficiency at C1–C2 level required.
  • Full-time 12-month contract based in North Carolina, United States.
