Engineering Process Director (PLM)

Location: Wyoming, Minnesota, USA; onsite role. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Salary: $152,500–$200,200 per year in Minnesota.

What you will do

• Own the enterprise Product Development and Engineering process vision, strategy, governance, and execution.
• Lead process architecture covering product definition, configuration management, change control, and release management.
• Define standardized processes, operating cadences, integration points, and governance mechanisms across engineering and lifecycle phases.
• Govern product definition standards for parts, CAD-driven structures, BOMs, documents, and PLM data.
• Ensure integration between PTC Windchill PLM and SAP ERP for accurate product data, releases, and downstream execution.
• Lead continuous improvement, performance measurement, AI and automation initiatives, stakeholder adoption, and team development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in product development and PLM process leadership within complex, multi-product organizations.
• Expertise in product definition, configuration management, change control, and release management.
• Experience as an Engineering Process Owner or in an equivalent enterprise process governance role.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Product and Process Development and business process design.
• Hands-on experience with PTC Windchill and its integration with SAP ERP, plus the ability to lead through influence and governance.
