What you will do
- Coordinate the interconnection of new generation and merchant transmission projects and related network upgrades.
- Serve as a liaison between PJM, transmission owners, project developers, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and coordinate work plans for generation and transmission system reinforcement projects across multiple transmission owner systems.
- Manage timelines, milestones, and critical-path tasks from engineering design through execution of interconnection service agreements.
- Coordinate and issue interconnection studies and agreements.
- Improve project management methods and progress-monitoring technologies for construction activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 0–5 years of applicable experience, including field experience with major substation and transmission line construction and maintenance, or generation operations, construction, and maintenance.
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Ability to apply mathematical and electrical theory, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work products.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions.
- Experience using PSS/e power system analysis software.
