SVP, Head of Specialty Deposits

Location: HQ - San Diego, California, United States

Salary: $225,000–$275,000 per year, plus eligible annual discretionary cash bonus and restricted stock unit bonus targets of 37.5% each.

What you will do

• Lead the national specialty deposits business and develop strategies for growth, profitability, and portfolio diversification.
• Set annual business plans, sales objectives, deposit growth targets, and performance metrics.
• Oversee specialty deposit teams through recruiting, coaching, succession planning, and performance management.
• Manage portfolio performance, client retention, funding stability, deposit pricing, and Earnings Credit Rate strategy.
• Expand into new specialty deposit markets and build relationships with clients, industry partners, technology providers, and referral sources.
• Partner with Treasury Management, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and executive leadership on strategic initiatives, regulatory compliance, reporting, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in commercial banking, specialty deposits, treasury management, commercial payments, or related financial services.
• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience managing deposit-focused business lines, sales teams, or commercial banking organizations.
• Demonstrated success developing growth strategies, building high-performing teams, and delivering meaningful deposit growth.
• Strong knowledge of specialty deposits, treasury management products, deposit pricing, liquidity management, regulatory requirements, risk management, and operational controls.
• Must satisfy U.S. employment eligibility requirements and pass credit, criminal background, and pre-employment drug screening.

Nice to have

• Experience serving Title & Escrow, 1031 Exchange, Fintech, Payments, Property Management, Senior Housing, Waste Management, or similar commercial banking verticals.
• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
