Senior SAP Data Analytics Engineer (SAP)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid working, with flexible arrangements and up to 20 days per year working from abroad from the home country.

hirify.global operates a global travel technology platform and is expanding its regulated payments and e-money services through its Financial Systems team.

What you will do

• Design, build, and scale reliable data pipelines, models, and integrations for critical financial systems.
• Own complex data solutions end to end, from technical strategy and architecture through production deployment and monitoring.
• Implement data governance, security controls, and compliance measures for regulated financial data.
• Develop validation, monitoring, and automated failure-detection solutions to improve data quality.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and promote clean code, design patterns, and test-driven development.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders, finance, and engineering teams to deliver reusable data products.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience designing enterprise data warehouses and multi-layered data architectures.
• Strong hands-on experience with schema design, data modeling, complex SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Experience extracting data from SAP S/4HANA and understanding its underlying data structures.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of SAP HANA XSA, SAP Datasphere, or Snowflake, plus ETL/ELT methodologies.
• Experience with reusable code, Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, data visualization, Agile frameworks, and stakeholder management. Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI-assisted tools for data modeling, query optimization, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with Data Product concepts, data contracts, and user-centric reusable data models.
