Digital Reporter/Multimedia Journalist

What you will do

• Report, shoot, edit, produce, and present original news stories and event coverage for broadcast, web, and digital platforms.
• Research stories, review public records and reference materials, conduct interviews, and verify relevant facts.
• Write and publish stories for InformNNY.com and other eMedia platforms.
• Create sharable videos, infographics, and social media content that connects with the local audience.
• Pitch locally relevant story ideas, evaluate leads, and manage priorities across multiple assignments.
• Maintain journalistic integrity, editorial accuracy, and production quality across all content.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Fluent English and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ad lib when required.
• At least two years of news reporting experience, depending on market size.
• Experience with cameras, microphones, computers, and other production and office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, handle multiple tasks, and make decisions independently.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; ability to work any shift and occasionally work outdoors in all weather conditions.
