Editorial Assistant, Shop TODAY

Location: 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, New York; hybrid schedule with at least four days per week in the office. Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.

Salary: $31.25–$36.05 per hour

What you will do

• Write broadcast-related commerce articles and complete day-of-air refreshes, price checks, and accuracy updates.
• Refresh priority and evergreen commerce content for Shop TODAY.
• Pitch products for broadcast segments using analytics and historical brand data.
• Maintain editorial calendars and trackers across broadcast programming and digital coverage.
• Support SEO, seasonal, trending, Prime Day, and Black Friday/Cyber Monday coverage.
• Monitor story performance and collaborate with SEO, social, and audience teams to improve reach and conversions.

Requirements

• Experience in lifestyle, commerce, or service journalism.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to write clean, engaging, conversion-minded copy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects accurately in a deadline-driven newsroom environment.
• Experience with SEO best practices and tools, plus excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of AP style and the Shop TODAY voice and audience.

Nice to have

• Experience writing and editing in a CMS.
• Experience with a broadcast-driven lifestyle brand.
• E-commerce editorial experience and familiarity with affiliate marketing platforms.
