What you will do
- Provide first-line production support for trading and front-office applications.
- Monitor order flow and troubleshoot connectivity, application, FIX protocol, and network-related issues.
- Develop and maintain basic automation scripts using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Analyze logs and assist with root-cause investigations on Unix/Linux platforms.
- Work with development and infrastructure teams to improve reliability, monitoring, documentation, and runbooks.
- Support incident, problem, and change management while helping traders and business users resolve operational issues.
Requirements
- 0–3 years of experience in application support, production support, financial technology, or a related technical role.
- Fundamental skills in Unix/Linux, SQL, relational databases, and scripting or programming with Python, Bash, or similar tools.
- Understanding of troubleshooting and problem-solving methodologies, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and connectivity concepts.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work directly with business users and technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Exposure to financial markets, trading systems, order lifecycles, and electronic trading concepts.
- Familiarity with FIX protocol concepts and trading platforms.
- Exposure to AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, Snowflake, FlexTrade, Arcesium, reference data, or security master platforms.
