Senior VHDL RTL Digital Logic Engineer (FPGA)

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States; onsite position

Salary: $136,000–$201,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead complex VHDL RTL digital logic projects for FPGA-based communication products.
• Design and support Ethernet security gateways, synchronized network clocks, Ethernet switches, and related products.
• Create RTL design documentation, system-level specifications, project plans, and labor estimates.
• Develop test plans, test harnesses, and stimulus for RTL functional verification.
• Participate in or moderate peer reviews of designs, documentation, and test plans.
• Collaborate with product managers and cross-discipline engineering teams on new products and enhancements.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of combined experience in at least two relevant areas, including FPGA RTL design, FPGA tools, firmware, digital logic analysis, or RTL verification.
• Experience with VHDL or Verilog and FPGA platforms or tools from Xilinx, Intel, Microchip, or Lattice Semiconductor.
• Experience with firmware development for FPGA SoCs or microprocessors using C or C++.
• Knowledge of Ethernet networking, IEEE 802.3, PTP/IEEE 1588, and IRIG-B.
• Strong technical writing, documentation, communication, teamwork, mentoring, and ability to learn new skills; satisfactory background check and negative drug test required.
