Senior MES Configuration Engineer (Proficy)

Location: Hybrid, three days per week in the Toronto, Canada office, with travel to production sites as needed, typically no more than once per quarter

Salary: $121,900–$158,500 per year

What you will do

• Support the development and delivery of production execution solutions for manufacturing sites.
• Configure and maintain GE Proficy platforms, including Plant Applications, Historian, and iFix.
• Lead plant start-ups, platform deployments, and upgrades across distributed IT infrastructure.
• Resolve critical technical incidents, improve system resilience, and reduce production downtime.
• Advocate for improvements in product quality, security, performance, and platform modernization.
• Improve DevOps delivery flows with automation, CI/CD tools, and collaboration with Operations Engineers and product teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with manufacturing services platforms based on Proficy.
• 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Experience defining platform requirements and solutions, and leading Proficy deployment and upgrade projects.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems and familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
• Expertise integrating Proficy with SAP and warehouse management systems.
• Fluent English and availability for the required hybrid schedule in Toronto, Canada; authorization to work in Canada is required, and work authorization sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of production execution process experience in FMCG.
• Agile and DevOps practices, including Scrum Master skills.
