Senior Accounting Manager – Investment Accounting & Transformation - Hybrid

Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut, United States; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $121,100–$201,900 annual salary, plus eligibility for an annual bonus plan

What you will do

• Lead accounting and financial reporting for the partnership investment portfolio.
• Oversee quarterly and annual GAAP and statutory reporting, disclosures, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Review complex investment transactions and determine the appropriate accounting treatment.
• Drive process improvement, workflow standardization, data quality, and scalable operating models.
• Lead accounting technology, investment subledger, automation, AI-enabled solution, and finance transformation initiatives.
• Lead and develop accounting professionals while partnering with Investment Management, Technology, Finance, Tax, Actuarial, Global Operations, and external auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, statutory accounting, and insurance industry reporting requirements.
• Experience leading teams and managing complex accounting processes.
• Experience with partnership investments, alternative investments, or insurance investment accounting.
• Experience implementing accounting systems, investment subledgers, or finance transformation initiatives, including work with global operations or shared services.

Nice to have

• CPA or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience with automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled technologies.
• Strong project management, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
