Sr. Engineer I (II) (Python/C#)

hirify.global's Interconnection Solutions department develops tools and processes supporting generation interconnection, energy reliability, and sustainability.

What you will do

• Build and maintain tools supporting the interconnection of new generation resources.
• Coordinate, scope, and implement software features that streamline interconnection project management.
• Develop new tools and methods for planning and reliability criteria testing.
• Integrate internal applications managing customer interconnection applications and transmission upgrade scopes and cost estimates.
• Automate invoicing, cover letters, notices, and final agreements for interconnection studies.
• Collaborate with System Planning colleagues and represent PJM in industry committees, task forces, and stakeholder groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• At least five years of programming experience with Python and/or C#.
• At least five years of experience developing analytical and automation tools for reliability criteria testing and screening.
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis, mathematical and electrical theory, troubleshooting, and technical support.
• Ability to produce high-quality work products with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Audubon, Pennsylvania, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions.
• Familiarity with JIRA and GitLab.
• Experience with Microsoft VSTO, Angular, power flow analysis, PSS/e, Aspen OneLiner, or TARA Generator Deliverability.
• Experience mentoring others on complex studies.
• Experience with LLM coding tools such as Copilot.
