What you will do
- Apply purchasing policies to maintain quality, appropriate inventory levels, timely delivery, and competitive supplier costs.
- Execute strategic sourcing plans aligned with business objectives.
- Identify and report supply chain risks, including market trends, capacity constraints, commodity risks, and supplier business conditions.
- Develop supplier partnerships, identify improvement opportunities, escalate issues, and execute corrective action plans.
- Apply purchasing fundamentals, supply chain management, supplier development, data analytics, cost reduction strategies, and negotiation techniques.
- Follow SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing principles.
Requirements
- Associate degree in business, operations, or supply chain, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
- Typically two or more years of experience.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with MRP or ERP systems.
- Strong writing, documentation, speaking, teamwork, learning, and responsibility-taking skills.
- Satisfactory background check and negative drug test results.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or supply chain, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
- Knowledge of electronics technology, manufacturing methods, and total quality processes.
- Experience working with MRP or ERP systems.
