Location: Fort Worth, Dallas, Austin, Corpus Christi, El Paso, Frisco, Harlingen, Lubbock, San Antonio, or San Marcos, Texas; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work.

What you will do
- Build and strengthen TxDOT client relationships to identify, shape, and win transportation work.
- Lead pursuits, including teaming strategy, statements of qualifications, proposals, interviews, and win plans.
- Manage TxDOT transportation design projects from kickoff through delivery, coordinating internal teams and subconsultants.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and fees aligned with TxDOT requirements and client expectations.
- Provide technical direction and quality oversight while navigating TxDOT processes and compliance requirements.
- Mentor staff and partner with transportation leadership to expand the firm’s presence in Texas markets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- At least 8 years of experience, including independent decision-making on engineering problems and methods.
- Experience leading transportation design projects for TxDOT or TxDOT-focused clients.
- Ability to lead work from client engagement and pursuit through team coordination, delivery, and quality assurance.
Nice to have
- Established TxDOT relationships and a record of winning transportation work.
- TxDOT-related pre-certifications aligned with transportation design services.
- Experience managing large, complex transportation projects.
- Knowledge of TxDOT procurement, contracting, and selection processes.
- Participation in professional organizations and continuing education.
