Director of Budget and Finance

Location: Physically located in the new Student Wellness Center at hirify.global

Salary: $37.00 per hour or $76,960.00 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications

hirify.global Student Wellness provides health and wellbeing services through Campus Recreation, Counseling and Psychological Services, Student Health Services, and shared administrative functions.

What you will do

• Lead strategic financial planning and manage funding sources across Student Wellness units.
• Develop annual and long-range budgets, revenue projections, student fee models, expenditure plans, and internal budget models.
• Analyze financial trends and service usage to support data-informed decisions and revenue planning.
• Advise leadership on staffing budgets, capital planning, project budgeting, cost projections, and funding strategies.
• Deliver financial reporting, explain variances, and provide insights for operational accountability and strategic planning.
• Coordinate with university budget, Fiscal Shared Services, Human Resources, and unit leadership while improving fiscal processes and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• At least three years of progressively responsible financial work experience.
• Experience developing, analyzing, and executing complex budgets and long-range fiscal management plans for a large organization.
• Ability to interpret, explain, and present detailed budget and fiscal data to diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency with financial systems and tools, including spreadsheets, databases, and reporting systems.
• This position is not eligible for new sponsorship.

• Financial experience in a higher education institution.
• Knowledge of institutional policies and procedures.
• Experience with ERP data and project coordination.
• Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
